Very Helpful November 7, 2007 Miguel de Cervantes (USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My son used this thermometer for a science project. It was easy and fun to use (it is fun to simply go around the house measuring surface temperatures). I recommend this product.
Works great! October 8, 2007 a couple with dog (Minneapolis) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
compact size. works great.
I bought mine for local Northern Tool store for the same $29 price. I suppose you could save a little tax if you bought from amazon with free shipping.
When I bought mine, Amazon did not have free shipping on it. but now they do.
Really good for the price July 30, 2007 Nancy Drew (Cape Coral, FL) 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
For pinpoint accuracy, get something else. However for everyday use, this little gadget is great. It's easy to use and takes up virtually no space. Expect a three or four degree variance - it usually registers low.
Finger in the air July 10, 2007 Alex Scorpio 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
A lot cheaper than other alternatives, probably because it's a lot smaller and not as fine a measuring tool. Seems useful for most applications: I wanted to use it for cooking and since it maxes out at 425 degrees that can be limiting. On the plus side, it's really easy to carry around in the toolbox.
Great gadget to have around February 24, 2007 David Town (Absecon, NJ United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Received one as a promotional item. AWESOME ! I've used it on all sorts of stuff (including the fireplace which registers off the scale, at over 425 degrees f. DON'T TOUCH!!!) Whenever you need to check the temperature of something where perfect accuracy is not critical (like a child's body temperature), this is the gizmo you want. When I take my inner ear temp, it shows 94.8 and 94.6 for right and left ears respectively. Pretty consistant, though a couple degrees low. I can deal with that when I'm measuring pump temps and checking relative temps looking for heat leaks. Over all super tool!
